The Institutional Products segment caters to a different client base, providing traditional guaranteed investment contracts, various funding agreements (including those associated with its involvement in the U.S. federal home loan bank program), and medium-term funding agreement-backed notes. Finally, the Closed Life and Annuity Blocks segment manages a portfolio of existing protection products. This includes various life insurance policies – whole, universal, variable universal, and term – as well as fixed, fixed index, and payout annuities, plus a selection of group payout annuities. Beyond these core segments, Jackson Financial Inc. also offers investment management services. The company leverages a comprehensive distribution network to reach its clientele. This network comprises independent broker-dealers, various banking and financial institutions, wirehouses and regional broker-dealers, independent registered investment advisors, third-party platforms, and insurance agents.
