It also manufactures fiber-based protective packaging and components. Additionally, this division supplies reels and spools constructed from wood, metal, and composite materials for the wire and cable industries, and offers recycled paperboard, corrugating medium, recovered paper, and related material recycling services. Sonoco's broader product lineup also encompasses thermoformed rigid plastic trays and specialized devices, custom-engineered molded foam solutions for protective packaging, and systems for temperature-assured shipping. Their offerings further include injection-molded and extruded containers, spools, and parts, alongside retail security packaging that features printed backer cards, thermoformed blisters, and heat-sealing machinery. The company additionally supplies paper amenities. These diverse products serve a wide spectrum of industries, including paper, textiles, film, food, chemicals, general packaging, construction, and wire and cable sectors. Sonoco Products Company, founded in 1899, is headquartered in Hartsville, South Carolina.
