TransUnion, established in 1968 and based in Chicago, Illinois, specializes in providing data-driven risk management and intelligence services. The company structures its business into three main operating divisions: U.S. Markets, International, and Consumer Interactive. The U.S. Markets division supplies businesses with comprehensive consumer reports, actionable insights, and analytical tools. This segment caters to a wide array of sectors, including financial services, insurance, tenant and employment screening, collections, technology, commerce and communications, public sector, and media. Globally, the International segment delivers credit reporting, analytical capabilities, technology platforms, and other value-added risk mitigation services. It also provides consumer-focused services, assisting individuals with managing their personal finances, accessing credit reporting, and obtaining specialized information for insurance, automotive, and commercial credit purposes. This division serves customers in the financial services, retail credit, insurance, automotive, collections, public sector, and communications industries through direct and partner channels. Lastly, the Consumer Interactive segment offers individual consumers access to credit reports and scores, credit monitoring, identity theft protection and recovery, and financial management solutions. These services empower individuals to oversee their personal finances and take precautions against identity theft. Products are accessible via online and mobile interfaces, as well as through various direct and indirect distribution methods. TransUnion's global footprint spans approximately 30 nations and territories, including regions such as North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, India, and the Asia Pacific.
